The Management Group is responsible for the management of the affairs of the Association according to its Rules and Objectives. In particular it:

Provides a structure to support the improvement of ringing throughout the Association.

Provides sound, practical advice to towers and ringers on matters relating to safeguarding, health and safety and insurance, informed by current legislation and good practice as adopted by the Central Council.

Organises and sets the Agenda for the AGM in April, the General Meeting and Inter-District 6 Bell Competition (typically in June) and the General Meeting and Inter-District 8 Bell Competition in October.

Manages the Association’s assets and finances, and recommends membership subscription fees to the October General Meeting.

Recommends alterations to the Association’s Objectives, Rules, District boundaries and Striking Competition formats as and when appropriate, with due regard to proposals received on these matters from the membership.

The Management Group works on behalf of the members to maintain and improve the DDA. We meet frequently to address a wide range of routine matters and emerging issues and our deliberations are recorded informally in the News section for your benefit:
