Safeguarding

Everyone attending is expected to comply with these safeguarding guidelines.
Safeguarding flowcharts are displayed in ringing chambers.
Every ringer (and non-ringing adult accompanying young ringers in the ringing chamber) is expected to sign in (signature, name, home tower, time) at every tower before entering the ringing chamber.
If no local ringer is in the tower, the conductor of each band will be temporarily responsible for safeguarding the band during their time in the ringing chamber.
Overall responsibility for safeguarding people on the church premises may be a local ringer or member of the church community who has completed safeguarding training.

Safety

If no local ringer is in the tower, the conductor of each band will be temporarily responsible for safety during their time in the ringing chamber.
No one is permitted to enter the bell chamber without the permission of a local ringer or member of the church community (e.g. to rectify a slipped wheel).
Belfry safety must be followed at all times.
