Web Site report

There have been over 5000 visits to the website, which is up 14% on 2008. Some areas are more popular than others; the events page has had 37% more visitors than last year. If you have a ringing event that you need to publicise, please let me know. A big thank you to those who do send me information, especially the Chesterfield District Secretary who always ensures their information is up to date. Information about the 2009 Dinner was viewed 90 times.

I've added more tower photos – 136 can now be viewed, there are a few more to collect. I have also recorded the Cathedral carillon, which plays a tune at 9am, noon and 6pm, which has been put onto youtube. These have been played many times and help advertise our hobby around the world.

In the performances section, you are able to listen to a number of striking competitions. Can you hear the difference between the top two teams from the Horsley Cup (Derby Cathedral & Darley Dale)? You can also listen to the two Derbyshire teams ringing in the Worthington Memorial Trophy, held at Nottingham this year.

Lastly, the Melbourne twelve-bell team can be heard ringing in the final of the National Twelve Bell competition at St Paul's Cathedral, London. The team came a very credible 4th and is worth listening to.

If you have any ideas for the website – please get in touch. If you have any suggestions for the website, let me know!
