Quarter peal report | Quarter peal details

This report and its statistics are based upon quarter peals that have been published in the Ringing World
between 01.02.09 and 05.02.10; they are listed at the end of this report. Figures shown in parenthesis
show the comparable figures for 2008.

The total number of quarter peals attributable to the Association is 344 (417). The distribution of quarters
through the districts and the number of towers where quarters were rung are shown below.

Geoff Goodall has now completed quarters in all 147 of the standard treble dodging minor methods. Quite possibly some other members of the band have too, but apparently they aren’t too bothered and don’t much care. A number of members also achieved personal milestones during the year including:

100th quarter Matthew Yeomans
1500th quarter Pat Halls
100th together Nick Daines and Alec Humphrey
250th together John Booth, Graeme Hughes and Alec Humphrey

Two new methods, previously unrung, were rung and named this year, both by the same band at Ashford in the Water. They are demanding methods and represent commendable achievements.
